Safety Data Sheet
-
BIOPREN Pharaoh Ant Bait contains the insect growth regulator S-Methoprene, which is carried by the ants into the nest. There it disrupts the queens’ egg-laying and interferes with larval development, leading to a gradual collapse of the colony.
-
Pharaoh ants form large, complex colonies with multiple queens and satellite nests. Because the bait targets the reproductive cycle rather than causing immediate mortality, effective control typically takes 10–14 weeks.
-
Contact insecticides, sprays, or powders can repel ants and trigger nest relocation or colony splitting. This reduces bait acceptance and can significantly compromise the effectiveness of the treatment.
-
Bait stations should be positioned along ant foraging routes and near hiding places or warm areas, but not directly on the ant trail. A typical recommendation is two bait stations per 20 m².
-
For sustainable results, the bait stations should remain undisturbed for at least three months, even if ant activity decreases or disappears earlier.
